The Welsh international had been a regular on the bench after losing his place last season and with the current form of Leon Best and Clinton Morrison he has struggled to dislodge the pair up front and has had to move out wide in order to get a game.
"It's obviously been disappointing not starting recently but when you have the lads playing like they have been it's been great to see," said Eastwood to the club website.
"The boys upfront are on fire at the minute and I thought it was another solid performance to day. We're looking good at the minute. "We've had a tough run of games with Middlesbrough, Watford and Leicester and we've come out of all of the games with points which is pleasing and I'm happy I was able to play my part today and do a job for the team.
"We've got the international break now so we've got a chance to take stock of things and make sure we're fresh for when we play West Brom in a couple of weeks time."
