New Coventry City goalkeeper Dimi Konstanopoulos is relishing the challenge of trying to be City's number one keeper.

The new signing from Hartlepool United told the club website: ""There was a similar situation when I first joined Hartlepool. Their number one at the time, Jim Provett, had just been named the player of the season but I managed to take my chance when it came soon after and made myself a regular.

"I like the competition - the harder it is the harder you work - and I'm really looking forward to working with Andy because he's a very good goalkeeper."

On his first day of training as a City player, the Greek said: The first day of training is always hard but I'm really looking forward to my first day, although being a goalkeeper I don't like to run so much.

"But we don't have to do quite so much as the other players because we have to focus on our own position a little more."
