Dibble To The Rescue

Coventry City Goalkeeping Coach Andy Dibble has offered his services as a back-up keeper if City get injuries to Andy Marshall or Rafa Gonzalez.

The 41 year old who joined City last week told the CT: "The offer is there for Micky if he wants it. "I am still going to join in training and I am not going to be one of those who sits by the goalposts with a cup of tea.

"I like to actively take part because I think it is good for the young kids to show them shape and footwork drills, that sort of stuff. "I am still registered as a player this season, which was always going to be the situation in case we went overnight to London or something with Accrington and there was an emergency and someone was ill, so I would step in and take part.

"So I would be ready to play if needed. I am not going to be saying to Micky, 'pick me,' but if there was an emergency I am still actively playing in the vets and masters and I want to keep myself fit because I think you need to be, being the club's goalkeeping coach."
