Dhinsa's Way Forward

A letter to all City supporters from Jojar Dhinsa who is holding a meeting open to any City supporters at the Hilton Hotel at Walsgrave on Sunday at 4pm

Dear CCFC Friends

The money for the Coventry City takeover is ring-fenced and my intent is absolutely rock solid.

Since the board refuses to engage in a dialogue with me, I am left using my own resources to discover the true state of the club’s finances and in particular the size of its debts.

A detailed bid has been prepared based on a certain level of debt but, in the past few days, sources within and close the club have suggested to me that my information is incorrect and that the debt is in fact much higher. This is the reason why my solicitors wrote to the club seeking clarification of what I think everyone would agree is a rather important detail.

Communicating through the media is uncomfortable for me and frankly painful for the fans who simply want a swift resolution to this issue and a focus back on the football and our quest to return to the Premiership.

So, here’s my suggestion for a course of action:

  1. The CCFC board agrees to allow my financial advisers to examine the club’s financial status – Dec 10
  2. My accountants write to the club confirming the presence of funds for the takeover – Dec 14.
  3. My financial advisers conduct their due diligence – Dec 15--Dec 22
  4. My detailed offer arrives at Highfield Road – Dec 23
  5. Throughout this period both parties agree not to talk to the media.

This is a clear and unambiguous action plan which will lead to the conclusion of this matter – it has to be for the good of the club, the players and the fans and I urge the board of CCFC to accept it.

Yours sincerely

Jojar S. Dhinsa
