DHINSA DEAL DEAD - MCGINNITY

City chairman Mike McGinnity has claimed any deal to sell the club has been 'buried' after not hearing anything from Jojar Dhinsa since last month.

The Chairman said “I had a meeting in which it was said to him that the proper way to go about this was to write a letter to the board to open negotiations and we could proceed from there.”

“We were absolutely open with him and if he has got £200 million to put into the club then, as chairman, I’ve got to listen.
“But since then no-one has heard from him apart from an article in a national newspaper. It has been six or seven weeks since there was any contact and as far as I am concerned the matter is buried.

“I wish he had not done this because it is all very upsetting for the fans. They had believed something big was about to happen but it hasn’t happened and it’s not fair on the fans.”

However Dhinsa said: “I’m in it for the long term. I’m not just going to stick money in and I would not be doing it if I didn’t believe in it.”
