Coventry City manager Steven Pressley admitted to being devastated for the players and 1219 City supporters after the 2-1 defeat at Swndon Town.
Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: “You had two excellent sides performing in difficult conditions and the opening 45 minutes were as good a performance as you’re likely to see from a Coventry side.
“I certainly don’t think you’ll see many better away performances, especially when you remember that we were playing against a very good Swindon team who have a terrific home record.
“Some of our football was sensational – the quick passing, the way we opened them up was outstanding, just the type of football I want to see from a Coventry side.
“They have the best passing statistics in the league but we had the majority of play an created the best chances and that makes it hugely disappointing that we didn’t get what we deserved.
“But my players couldn’t have given me anything more today. They left nothing on the football pitch and I’m devastated for them and our fans because there’s no doubt about it we should have won the game.”
