Delighted With My Goal - Turner

Ben Turner has been talking about his goal in Coventry City's 2-1 victory over Derby County at the Ricoh Arena this lunch time.


Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Turner said: "We're delighted to have won and we have set out our stall to win our home games this season. The gaffer wants to make this place as much of a fortress as we can and we've started with two wins so we are very happy."

When asked about his goal which was his first for the club, the centre half said: "I was absolutely delighted. I have had a few misses in my game so far and my career. I was so pleased to hit the back of the net and ever so pleased to get the winner.

On the impact of manager Aidy Boothroyd on his career, Turner, who was the Npower Man Of The Match said: "So far so good, I'm really delighted with it and he has given me a lot of confidence to go out there and be as strong as I can and play to the best of my ability. "At the minute, I'm happy with two out of my three performances this season. and hopefully it will continue."
