Defence Cost Us - Coleman

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman blamed defensive errors for the 2-1 defeat at Derby County tonight.

Speaking to the club website, Coleman said;  "I thought it was a marked improvement from last week although we were found wanting in defence yet again.

"When we really needed to defend we didn't do it quite well enough and sadly it has cost us two goals.

"I thought in the main it was a much gutsier perfromance because we bossed it in the second half and could have scored more.

"But we knew Derby were going to come out and have a go in the second half and we didn't handle it as well as we should have and it's cost us points.

"We've got a break now where we can take stock of where we are and look to getting out of this bad run we have found ourselves in.

"There was plenty of incidents in this game with the goals, sending off and a penalty and there is plenty we can take from this game and build on over the next couple of weeks."
