Former Coventry City midfielder Gary Deegan was booked on his Hibernian debut.
Deegan started for Hibs in the derby match against Edinburgh rivals Hearts and was cautioned in the 19th minute.
One time City target Andrew Driver put Hearts in front in the 29th minute but Leigh Griffiths equalised before the interval as the game finished in a 1-1 draw.
Both Deegan and James McPake played the full ninety minutes.
