Decisions To Be Made Over Loan Duo

Coventry City, AFC Bournemouth and the players involved will decide over the next few weeks if the Sky Blues are to extend the loans of Ryan Allsop and Josh McQuoid.

Both came to Coventry on loan as part of the Callum Wilson deal and the loan deal for both players expires on January 16th.

Speaking about this to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, City boss Steven Pressley said about Ryan Allsop: “We have discussed the situation with Ryan and that's something we’ll assess over the next month.

He's come back into the side and I think his performances in the last two or three games have been very good. We've had three clean sheets in four, which I think has helped his confidence because he looks far more assured and confident just now. So the next five weeks with Ryan will define whether we decide to retain him or not, but I think he’s made good strides in recent weeks.”

Then speaking about McQuoid, who has struggled to get in the team of late due to the amounth of players City have on loan, Pressley said: “It's still under review but I think in Josh's mind things would probably have to change quite dramatically because he came here to play regular football and he's at the stage where he's only got five months left on his contract at Bournemouth.

“Between now and January 16th, when his loan period ends, I would imagine that if he doesn't play regularly during this period then in his own mind he'll probably want to look for another opportunity.”
