Coventry City loanee Chris Stokes has said that his City debut could not have gone any better.

Stokes gave City the lead with a header from a corner which went in off Dean Lewington and speaking to Matt Joyce, the loanee from Forest Green Rovers said: "Playing at the Ricoh is what I dreamed of, my home debut couldn't have gone any better really!

"With my goal I can't remember much of it to be honest, I headed the back of his head and it hurt! But I didn't have a clue and ran off celebrating, I was overcome with emotion.

"We had to dig in but we did and it's great to get this result against a top side."
