Deadman Shows Plenty Of Cards

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game at Norwich City is Darren Deadman from Peterborough.

A 34 year old Civil Servant, Mr Deadman progressed to the National List via the National List of assistant referees in 2000 and the referees’ list in 2005. He got into refereeing after playing semi pro football and getting injured.

Mr Deadman has had 28 games this season and has shown 108 yellow cards and five red. His last game was last Saturday's draw between Doncaster and Leicester City.

His last City game was the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace in February 2010 and previous matches are the 3-2 defeat at Preston in September 2009, the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United in September 2008 and  the 2-1 defeat at Watford in April 2008.

The assistants are Matty Buoanssissi from Bedfordshire and Gary Evetts from Hertfordshire and the Fourth Official is Michael Naylor from South Yorkshire.
