Davenport Case Goes To Crown Court

The case which sees former Coventry City defender Calum Davenport accused of attacking his sister in Bedford on August 22nd is to go to Crown Court.

The West Ham player who received stab wounds to his leg that have threatened his career was committed to Luton Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on January 25th.

Davenport had made it known to Bedford Magistrates Court that he would plead not guilty and was released on bail, a condition of which means that he he is not allowed to have any contact with his sister.
