Bolton's 19 year old winger Danny Ward is set to return to Coventry City soon to complete his loan period which was interrupted when he returned to Bolton to have a hernia operation.

While the talented youngster was recovering from his operation he travelled the short distance from his home to Rochdale to watch another of his former teams Swindon Town pay out a 3-3 draw last Saturday.

Ward spent six months on loan at Swindon and forged friendships with many of the Swindon players and after the game spoke about his time at the Wiltshire club and how he would like to return to play for them again if it was possible.

"I'd love to come back. It (Swindon) is like a second home," he said. "I had six months there and enjoyed every minute of it, so it would be good to come back.

"My loan (at Coventry) finishes on January 1 but after then I don't know what's happening to be honest. No one's really said anything, so anything could happen."

Ward joined Coventry because his manager at Bolton, Owen Coyle wants him to play at the highest level possible outside the Premier League, but Ward does not necessarily think that will be a barrier to him making a return to Swindon

He said, "I spoke to the gaffer and he said he wanted me to keep playing at a higher level and keep pushing myself to eventually get back in the first team at Bolton, but we'll have to see how it goes and see what happens this season."
