Dann was at City for coming up to eighteen months and made 49 appearances.
"I'm extremely grateful to Coventry City for giving me the chance to play at the top level and the past 18 months at the club have been extremely enjoyable for me," Dann said to City's club website.
"I take with me some great memories but felt that, personally, this was the best move for me and an opportunity I felt I could not pass up.
"I would like again to express great thanks to Coventry and its fans for all they have done for me over the past 18 months, and I wish the club all the success it thoroughly deserves."
