Former Coventry City loanee Chris Dagnall has completed a move to Leyton Orient.

Dagnall, who worked hard during his loan spell at City, had his contract mutually cancelled by Barnsley last week and had attracted interest from eight clubs including the Sky Blues.

However, Dagnall has opted a move to East London to sign for Leyton Orient on an eighteen month deal and told the O's website: “I’m over the moon  “After sorting my contract with Barnsley, it’s great to get a club doing so well in the league and I can get myself settled now.

"I met the manager and he’s a top fella and really sold it to me. You only have to look at the table to see how well the club is doing and we have every chance of promotion which made it an easy decision. It’s a nice training ground, the lads all seem really good and I’ve enjoyed my first day.

"First and foremost I like to work hard and give 100 per cent every game. I mix my game up, so can run in behind or drop off short too but above everything I make sure I work hard every game.

"I want to play as many games as I can and score a few goals and help the club get promoted. I’m really looking forward to my debut. I’ve not really played a huge amount of football this season so can’t wait to get back in to the swing of things."
