Cup Game Ticket News

Coventry City and Manchester United are to be in contact on Monday to sort out a date for their League Cup Third Round tie. The needs of television may also have a factor on the date of the game which could be played on September 24/25/26/27th.

When the ticket prices and allocation which could be up to fifteen percent of Old Trafford's capacity should City request it and be able to pay for the tickets up front which is a common policy for the Premier League Champions, have all been agreed, they will be sent to Coventry to go on sale.

It is expected that tickets will not go on priority sale until Thursday at the earliest, so there is no point in phoning the ticket office on Monday morning trying to get a ticket as some supporters did today.

With the amount of Coventry City supporters wanting tickets for this game, you are advised not to buy tickets for Manchester United supporters in the ends allocated to Sky Blues supporters. The stewards and police are quite within their rights to refuse to permit any one wearing United colours from entering the away end regardless of their age and have a reputation for doing so.

Over the years, there have been a number of attacks and abuse aimed at United followers in the away end and in order to avoid this, anyone thinking of buying a ticket if there are any left after Corporates, PSL, Away Season Ticket Holders and then Season Ticket Holders have purchased their tickets, is advised to think again.

Full ticket information will appear on this site as soon as it is available.
