Crewe Alexandra won the Johnstones Paint Trophy Final with a 2-0 victory over Southend United at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.

A crowd of 43,842 saw Crewe took a sixth minute lead through Luke Murphy and scored a second through Max Clayton four minutes into the second half.

Former Coventry City forward Freddy Eastwood was a 77th minute substitute for Southend.
