Crewe Boss Warns Of A Different Coventry

Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has warned that his side will face a different Coventry City to the one they beat earlier in the season.

Speaking to his club's website about Saturday's trip to the Ricoh Arena, Davis said: “I am sure we will be facing a different Coventry side to the one we managed to beat at home back in October.

“They will be different under Tony than they were under Steven. They are both good managers but their style will be different.

“Tony has been looking to get back in the game for a period of time and he has managed to go back in at a big club. They have a wonderful stadium, a healthy budget and a fan base that have shown that they would return to the stadium if the club can be successful again.

“They have had some tough years with their finances and moving out and then back into the stadium but it just goes to show how difficult this league is to stay in and get out of.

“They have some pretty solid foundations at Coventry with the budget they have and their fan base and they are still not 100% safe themselves. I would certainly swap their points tally for ours, but all we can do is look forward to going to their impressive stadium and giving our all to get the win we need.

“It should be a great atmosphere and we have to try and turn that to our advantage by the way we play. We have won at Vale Park and Bramall Lane this season, so we know how to handle big and intimating crowds."
