Credit To The Players - Boothroyd

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd paid tribute to his players after the 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace this afternoon at the Ricoh Arena.

Speaking to the Press Association, Boothroyd said: "A massive amount of credit has to go the players for that because we got a result and we got a performance.

"Crystal Palace are much tighter than they were, they concede a lot less goals and are harder to play against. They probably looked at the run that we are on and thought that they had half a chance.

"We were strong, we created chances in the second half and when you don't score straightaway you can start to think: here we go again.

"But we kept going and showed courage to get on the ball and played some good football at times. And that's what we want - we want a result and a performance and I want it in that order at the moment.

"We can enjoy the result and relax a little bit because I have probably haven't been very easy to live with on the last few Sundays!

"But I was pleased with everybody. It would have been easy for supporters to think: here we go again. They have kept singing because they know we are not that far away."
