Cranie Playing The Waiting Game

Coventry City defender Martin Cranie has admitted that he is likely to sign a new contract if Coventry City avoid relegation.

Cranie is currently keeping his options open, like many City supporters who will wait to see what division the Sky Blues are in before buying a season ticket, and told the CT’s Andy Turner: “I’m still waiting at the moment..

“I think we’re waiting to see what we’re doing whether we’ll be in the Championship or League One and then we’ll sit down and have a chat at the end of the season.

“If we are still in this league it will obviously have a major bearing on my decision.

"I am settled here in the area and I love the club wherever I play in the side.

"It is not a case that I’m unhappy or anything so hopefully I can sort something out.

“I have spoken to Rich about it and he feels the same way as me so hopefully we can keep going this season and get something sorted out at the end and be the pairing next year for centre-half.”
