Coventry Were Much Better Than Us - Dunne

Colchester United manager Joe Dunne has said that the Sky Blues were the better team in a game which Coventry City won 2-0 at Sixfields Stadium this afternoon.

Speaking to the Daily Gazette's Jon Waldron, Dunne said: “Coventry were better than us in terms of passing and moving the ball.

“They dominated the first half and we had a makeshift back four. “We stuck at it though and to our credit, it was still only 1-0 at half-time.

“I thought we started the second half quite well but overall, I have no complaints about the result.

“We went direct with 4-4-2 in the second half and tried to get higher up the pitch.

“There was plenty of energy though and it was a great experience for the likes of Mason Spence, Tosin Olufemi and Alex Gilbey.

“Alex had a good chance before half-time and if he had kept it a bit lower, it might have been different because they went up the other end and scored."
