Coventry City's new Scottish defender Andy Webster has said that joining the Sky Blues was the best option for him.

The Scottish international who could feature against England tomorrow night at Wembley, joined City on a two year and made his debut against Bristol City on Sunday.

Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times, Webster said about his decision to move to Coventry: "It was not just the football side of it, but also from my family side of it I had to take that into consideration.

"It was important they were going to be settled and happy.

"I could maybe have gone to other places and found they did not like it.

"I had options to go abroad, Australia, South Africa and Europe as well. But when you strip it all back and decide what is best not just for myself but for my family, it was Coventry which came out as the best choice."
