Four of seven Coventry Unsung Sporting Heroes will be at tonight's official opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The four include Coventry Sphinx Secretary Jackie McGowan (pictured below), a long time servant of Sphinx with Secretary and matchday assistance service in both the juniors and now the seniors team, are going to the Opening Ceremony in Stratford, East London, after Coventry City Council Leader John Mutton decided that the those who dedicate their time and efforts into helping others to play sport in Coventry, deserved a once in a life-time opportunity and the Council invited people to submit reasons why the people nominated deserved to go.

Not only was the ticket included in the prize but the day also includes chauffer driven travel
