Today Coventry kids took the World Cup in their hands and created a bit of TV history.

Year 12 Media Students at Coundon Court School in Coventry are creating a little piece of history by launching the first World Cup TV series produced by school children for school children.

Destination South Africa is a 6 part series which will run throughout the World Cup - right through to the World Cup Finals. It was an inspired idea by pupils who wanted to get involved in the World Cup and create a project that would help them pass their Btec Media Course.

They managed to get exclusive rights from the South Africa Tourist Board to show footage and they worked with a school in South Africa, Reddam House School who sent them exclusive reporting footage.
