West Bromwich Albion manager Roberto Di Matteo says he was impressed with the way Coventry City fought back from a dismal start to earn a draw at Leicester last Sunday.

Di Matteo was an interested spectator and admitted the second half performance has given him food for thought ahead of tonights important game at The Hawthorns against Coventry City.

Coventry have only lost once on their travels in their last six games, the 4-1 defeat to table topping Newcastle United. City are seven points from a play off place and slipped a place to eleventh last night because of other results last night.

Di Matteo said, "I think they've had a very good 2010," he said. "I've watched them a number of times. They were struggling a little bit towards the end of the year. Then they put a nice run together at the turn of the year and it shows in the table where they are."

"I saw them on Sunday as well and I was impressed by their second half performance. They were 2-0 down at half time and came out very strongly after the break and put Leicester under pressure. We know what to expect and they still have a chance of the play-offs as well."

Di Matteo, to use the well worn football cliché is not looking further than tonight's game. West Brom will be looking to add to their run of five successive league wins for the first time in six years.

Di Matteo said, "Our target is the next game. It's another home game for us and we know the importance of our home games. We're trying to get the maximum out of our home games, which leaves us to pick up less points away from home - even though we've got a good away record. We want to do well at home."

The Baggies boss went on to talk about the pressures of being in the automatic promotion places, claiming his squad are coping well and will be out to increase their current 5 point advantage over third place Nottingham Forest.

With eight games left for West Brom, Di Matteo continued, "We've been under pressure all season to be honest. We've had to deal with that pressure. In the last stage of the season, when it's heating up, it is kind of nothing new to us because we've always been under that pressure.

"I think our players are mentally quite strong, but you do feel during the games sometimes a little bit of nervousness comes to the surface. That's generally because it's a young squad."
