Coventry City Up To Eighteenth

Coventry City moved up to eighteenth in the Championship table after a 1-1 draw at Doncaster Rovers.

Tuesday night saw a full programme of Championship fixtures and saw City go seven points clear of third from bottom Scunthorpe United who lost 2-1 at Barnsley.

Former City manager Micky Adams had his first win as manager of Sheffield United when they came back to win 2-1 at home after Dele Adebola had given Nottingham Forest a first half lead but the Blades are still second bottom, just ahead of Preston who lost 2-1 at home to fifth place Leeds United.

Crystal Palace beat Cardiff 1-0 and Middlesbrough beat Derby County 2-1.

At the top, leaders QPR were beaten 2-0 at Millwall whilst second placed Swansea were held 1-1 at home by Watford. Norwich are third after a 3-2 win at Leicester whilst elsewhere, Hull City who travel to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday lost 1-0 at home to Burnley, Reading won 3-1 at Ipswich and Bristol City beat Portsmouth 2-1.
