Coventry City release eight players

Coventry City have announced that they are to release eight of their players and are holding talks with four more over their future at the club.

The eight released players are Frank Nouble, Adam Barton, Andy Webster, Shaun Miller, Simeon Jackson, Al Bangura, Danny Pugh, and Blair Turgott. All of the players were out of contract and have not been offered new deals

The club are holding talks with four players, Reda Johnson, Marcus Tudgay and Ivor Lawton. Chris Stokes, released by Forest Green Rovers is also holding talks with Coventry City with a view to signing a permanent deal.

The Sky Blues have also exercised the option to extend the contract with Jordan Willis by a year.

The club have issued a statement thanking the released players for their efforts and commitment to the club and wish them well in finding new clubs.
