Coventry City Is Not For Sale - Fisher

Last updated : 25 May 2013 By Covsupport News Service

Current Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher has said that Coventry City Football Club are not for sale.

Speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Stuart Linnell, Tim Fisher said: "The Administrator is undertaking his role as an officer of the court and to his opinion has decided that the Golden Share is in CCFC Ltd. We maintain that it is in CCFC Holdings, we have a raft of evidence that it is in Holdings and have traded as though it has always been in Holdings.

"All the FL money, transfers, third party service provider etc has gone through Holdings because Holdings have the bank account. It is fact that the Football League has always treated Holdings as a member club. The Golden Share is in Nick Clegg's (FL Complliance Officer) top draw.

I suggest whoever wants to buy CCFC Ltd will not be buying Coventry City Football Club. The club is simply not for sale. SISU are not minded to sell. I have spent two days with Steven Pressley, Steve Waggot and SISU's analyists going through the numbers and budgets for the first team squad for next season, we would not have done this if the club was up for sale."
