Coventry City have dropped another place to eighteenth in the Championship table tonight.

Doncaster Rovers moved above the Sky Blues with a 3-1 victory at Derby County. Sharp scored twice and Mills was also on target for Rovers who are at home to City next Tuesday night. Davies scored Derby's goal in second half stoppage time.

Middlesbrough were denied the chance to move a point behind City after taking a 51st minute lead through McDonald against Nottingham Forest. However, former Coventry City striker Dele Adebola equalised in stoppage time to keep Tony Mowbray's side in 20th place.

Improving Portsmouth moved up the table with a 2-0 home win over Scunthorpe United.

In the FA Cup, a goal from former Coventry City loanee Matty Mills was enough to give Reading a 1-0 win at Everton.

Shaun Jeffers was an unused substitute in Cambridge United's 1-1 draw at Newport County.
