Cov Rugby Say No To Sisu

Last updated : 16 January 2017 By CNS Sport

According to the Coventry Telegraph, Coventry Rugby Club have ruled out any involvement with Sisu.

Cov's Chairman Jon Sharp told the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert: “I have certainly firmly ruled out any involvement with Sisu.”

Whether that applies to just Sisu Capital Limited or covers the Otium Entertainment Group, Sky Blue Sports & Leisure and Coventry City FC is unclear as there have been rumours over the last month or so of Tim Fisher promising crowds of 8,000 every week if the Sky Blues, who have a ticket office there, were to play at the Butts Park Arena.

The Arena is due to host Coventry United from next season after the lease was changed to permit a 'professional' football club which United are by virtue of paying players through their books and there are moves to obtain an artificial pitch to suit both sports.
