Cov Kid Luke McCormick has been earning rave reviews from his manager John Sheridan who has backed him to do well against Coventry City tonight at the Ricoh Arena.

Speaking about McCormick, Plymouth boss John Sheridan told The Herald: “Luke has done consistently well. That’s the good thing about it.

“Whenever he has had something to do, he has done it really well. He’s probably one of our most consistent players.

“Obviously, I don’t like my ‘keeper getting too much work to do, but when he has been called on he has been top drawer.

“I would say he’s the best ‘keeper in the division at the moment.

“He’s playing really well and is part of a team who are not letting many goals in. Long may that continue.”
