Council Hopes Arena Parking Scheme Will Work

Coventry City Council have sent out 13,000 applications forms for the Arena Parking Scheme.
Every household inside the two miles radius around the Arena which now has been enlarged to include Beake Avenue,Nunts Lane,Parkville Highway,Hall Green Road,Aldermans Green Road and Old Church Road has until July 20th to return their form to the Council to apply for a parking permit and 25 visitor passes.
Councillor Arrowsmith who is the spokesman for urban regeneration and regional planning told the Coventry Observer: "We have tried to ensure we have got the scheme right.
"By balancing the residents parking scheme with the green travel plan I hope people who live near to the Arena will be able to park outside or near their homes on major event days.
"We will need to know what works and what doesn't, and how we can improve things."
