Mohammed Coulibaly is doubtful for the start of the season.

The loanee from AFC Bournemouth has picked up a groin injury in training and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, City manager Steven Pressley said: “Couli has come in but, unfortunately, missed the football based work in the first week because of inflammation in his groin area,” revealed manager Steven Pressley. “He’s had it scanned and he’s likely to miss a period of about ten days, but it hasn’t stopped him running to keep a good level of base fitness.

"In fact, to be honest, he’s been exceptional in the running and right up there with the best of them.

“It’s really unfortunate because he’s been desperate to get involved in the football.

"He missed a big percentage of last season with injury and it’s maybe a reaction to him coming back into things, so we’re just going to have to manage him over the course of the pre-season.

“We feel he might not be 100 per cent come the start of the season but he’ll be close to that.”
