Could Figo Be Popping Into The Ricoh?

Digging into the Portuguese based Best Group has revealed that one of the people in the consortium fronted by Rufus Brevett, is the agent of Portugal legend Luis Figo.

He is a man who has helped the Inter Milan player amass a business and property portfollio which includes No7 restaurants and bars, some Algarve bars and a luxury golf and hotel complex and whilst is it highly unlikely that the international would ever play for City, it is not inconceivable that he could put in the odd personal appearance.

A group of other Portugese football agents is believed to be the money men behind the consortium which tried to buy Swindon Town but now appear to have changed ing their minds.

The Best Group is one of a number of other parties that Joe Elliott and what is left of the City Board are talking to.

Arena Coventry Limited are another. Seen as difficult landlords, more interested in cash than helping City to flourish by some, the ACL board contains Coventry City Council reps Stella Manzie and John McGuigan as well as Peter Knatchbull-Huggesen who looks after the Higgs Charity's involvement.

Their Chairman is Solihull based Daniel Gidney who was in charge of the company which lost £400,000 last year.
