City Reserve team boss Alan Cork said after City Reserves 2-1 defeat at Chelsea this morning: "It was amazing that my son Jack got both goals and I have to admit that I'm really proud of him.

"Chelsea had a lot of good players playing today with Joe Cole, Cudicini, Kalou and Obi Mikel out there and I thought our lads acquitted themselves really well.

"Rubbing shoulders with those sort of players will have given the boys a big buzz and they can be pleased with the way they performed."

City Reserves face Notts County next week for the second time this season in a friendly. City won the first game 1-0 with a goal from Faysal El Idrissi.
