Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper felt that Michael Smith scoring the winner in the 92nd minute was a fantastic way to win a game.

It looked like Swindon would be taking a draw from their trip to Sixfields against Coventry City until Michael Smith headed home in stoppage time to give Swindon Town a 2-1 win and keep their play-off hopes alive.

Cooper told Swindon's official site: "It was a fantastic way to win the game and on the balance of play, it's what we deserved.

"In the first half we bossed possession against a good football team. I thought we should have been in the lead at half time with their only shot of the half they scored a soft goal. That was a frustration. At half time I asked for more of the same. They turned it in to a scrap in the second half but we didn't take enough care with the final pass. Then in one moment, Michael Smith runs 90 yards to win the ball in the corner then goes up the other end and heads in the winner."

Cooper's celebrations had some City supporters fuming and he said: "I just got a bit excited. That's what football is about; highs, lows. The last month we've had a few highs. The fans were brilliant today. They got behind us and it was like a home game."
