Conor Thomas has thanked the City support for their committment and faith in the team

The midfielder who has captained the Sky Blues in a couple of the pre-season games in Scotland, said to the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter: "I think we've got a great chance to bounce back.

"I've not even thought about not being in the mix next season. It would have been hard for the fans last season but they're still coming out and supporting us.

"Hopefully we can do well for the first three games, get a bit of a run going and I think we could sell out the stadium next season.

"The fans will keep on coming because they're good fans. We've got to thank them for still committing themselves next season and getting behind the team.

"We've got to be positive going forward. We've got enough quality, we've got the stadium and all the facilities so hopefully we'll bounce straight back up.

"Everyone is a bit older now, we've matured a bit more as a squad and hopefully we can all stick together and do well."
