Coventry City players have been warned that they need to be in good shape when they return for pre-season training on July 2nd.

Said Tim Flowers to the CT: "The players have all been given handouts from John Harbin in the form of a personal fitness programme for the summer and they will be tested on day one when they come back.

"We will know straight away whether they have done it or not, but I think they will because the days are gone like in my day when players could put a stone on and come back and run yourself daft for two weeks.

"There is a run that they will do when they come back and, if they pass it, then the balls will be out on day one. "It will be coupled with a lot of fitness stuff, but we hope to be doing technique work from the start."

When they do return, the City players will go to Bath University for testing before playing pre-season games which are still to be announced.
