Coventry City Ladies manager Craig Nicholls has urged City supporters to come to the Ricoh Arena on Sunday to support the Sky Blues in their Women's FA Cup Third Round tie against Stoke City.

In a press statement, Nicholls said:“It would be fantastic to get lots of support at the Ricoh Arena.

“We have to promote women’s football as much as we can because the quality is getting better and better.

“My main objective is to get us playing attractive football on the pitch to hopefully make the fans want to continue to watch the team throughout the rest of the season.

“Playing there will definitely help the women’s game. I personally think it should happen at a lot of clubs so that women’s teams get the chance to play at grounds such as this. It will be a great experience.”

“It is always enjoyable to be able to play a game at the Ricoh Arena and it gives the players the opportunity to perform in such a prestigious stadium,” City Ladies Chairman Bill Newnes said.

“It also demonstrates how important the relationship we have with the Ricoh Arena is. We need to attract more sponsors to get involved with the club and being able to play somewhere with such a high profile will help us in securing some new ones.

“The prestige of playing there should open up opportunities for sponsors to gain some good publicity whilst also supporting Coventry City Ladies FC.”

Kick off is at 2pm. Admission via Gate 45 is £5 for adults and £3 concessions. You are advised to pay on the day rather than pay extra to the Ticket Factory who also charge a 'fulfillment fee'.
