Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is expected to play Leon McKenzie and Clinton Morrison up front against Wolves on Saturday.

The pairing played together for Crystal Palace and it is hoped that this latest front two will get the goals that City need in order to push their season on.

"They have been brilliant to be fair, and that's what you want, two strikers really hitting it off and playing on the same wavelength," said Clinton Morrison to the CT.

"It has been difficult here because Freddy has been struggling with confidence, Leon Best has been injured, so strikers have chopped and changed and we have not really had chance to get a partnership going.

"Ebanks-Blake and Iwelumo, and Jay Bothroyd and Ross McCormack at Cardiff City are probably the best pairings in the Championship. "The Wolves two are probably the best combination in the league.

"Me and Leon played up front at Palace quite a few times and we played well together because there is an understanding. "When I talk to Leon he is the sort of person who listens. "So it would be good to link up with him again."He is hungry and he is always trying to do his best.

"He goes for things in the air because he is bigger and physical and can win the headers, and then I can gamble and get on the end of his flick-ons, so it was a good partnership, but it is up to the manager to decide."
