Now that Crystal Palace have averted the threat of extinction following their eleventh hour reprieve earlier this week when a fans consortium took over the running of the club from the administrators, they are looking for a new manager.

Chris Coleman is thought to be high on their wish list. As a former Palace player along with his management experience at Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry City, make him an attractive proposition.

Another ex Crystal Palace player Dougie Freedman, who assisted under Paul Hart last season will also be in contention for the job.

Paul Hart, who was brought in late last season to save the club from relegation following a points reduction for going into administration, left the managers job at Palace having succeeded in keeping the club in the Championship.

Hart, in turn is being heavily tipped to take over the management at relegated Hull City.
