Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has been linked with the vacant manager's job at Blackburn Rovers.

Alan Shearer was the favourite but the former Rovers striker now has a lucrative television deal with the BBC plus other endorsements and does not want to give these up to get into his first job in football management.

Coleman, along with his assistant Steve Kean, has been at City since February and has yet to comment about the speculation linking him as a replacement at Ewood Park for Mark Hughes.
