Coventry City manager Chris Coleman was pleased with the reaction from his players during the 1-1 draw with Derby County at the Ricoh Arena this afternoon.

Said Coleman to the press conference: "I was happy with the reaction of my players after Tuesday's home defeat to Burnley. 'I wanted a response and that's what I got.

'There were no shrinking violets out there. The players wanted the ball and kept going to get the ball.

"The way we kept going over the course of the 90 minutes was very pleasing. 'We kept pushing and asking questions.

"At points in the second half we were pushing so hard that they hit us on the counter attack a couple of times and could have finished it."

Paul Jewell was fuming after the game. On the final whistle, the Scouser was on the pitch, trying to find out why the assistant referee had awarded City a throw in which led to the Sky Blues equalising goal.

Said Jewell: "The linesman has had a decision to make - an easy decision - and he has given them a throw when it shouldn't have been their throw and they have scored from it.

"Another time he gave them a goal-kick when we should have had a corner and then Gary Teale is three yards offside and he keeps his flag down.

"I have to be careful what I say. He was consistent, I'll give him that. "If I am wrong about the throw, I will ring the linesman up and tell him that I am sorry."
