Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has praised Martin Cranie for his work rate.

The defender who joined City in the summer from Portsmouth, is now getting a regular run in the side and Chris Coleman told the CT: "Martin has worked very hard in training.

"I have said to him that I think I he has been playing within himself and that he has more to give but he has done really well lately and has been a bit of extra training with Harry Harrison.

"He is only young really, He is 23 and it is not like he is 31 with his career behind him. It's all in front of him. He is a former England U21 international and a good player.

"He has got more to offer but I think he's been doing that in the last few games, playing at right back and centre half, so he has done really well and I'm pleased with him.

"But what he must do is keep it going and make it hard for me to bring back the other defenders into the side and keep playing the way he has been playing and if he does, it will be hard for me to change it."
