The City boss who had some calls for his head during the game from sections of disgruntled supporters, told the club website: "Sometimes when an opposition player gets sent off it's the worst thing that can happen to you.
"Their opening goal was definitely a world class strike but there was no doubt in my mind that there was a foul on James McPake in the build up while we were trying to get an additional striker on.
"That being said we had two or three chances to put the game to bed in the first half and we didn't but still I was pleased with the battling spirit the lads showed when they went a goal down.
"It was a lovely bit of wing play from Carl Baker to create the opportunity and in the closing moments we looked like we could have gone on to win the game but Blackpool are a good side with a good reputation and maybe two months ago we would have lost this game.
"The main aim is to keep picking up points, which we have done now in the last couple of games because the table is extremely tight at the moment so we need to keep going."
