Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that his side need more pre-season matches.

"We'll be busy but that's what pre-season is all about," the City boss said to the club website. "We'll probably have a couple more games than we did last year.

"It's all about getting the players fit and prepared. Last year we travelled a lot, we were away three years. We wanted to mix it up and stay closer to home. There's a few more pencilled in, we just need to nail them down.

"Last season our problem was that we fell away after February. There are lots of reasons for it and I'm here to change them."

So far City will play away pre-season friendlies at Wrexham (July 11), Nuneaton (July 15), Hinckley (July 18), Northampton (July 21), Huddersfield (July 25th) and Dunfermline (July 29) with the Marcus Hall Testimonial which looks likely to be at the Ricoh Arena on the weekend of August 1/2nd and possibly against Tottenham Hotspur to be finalised.
