Coleman Gets Wales First Win

A number of former Coventry City players were on international duty tonight.

 

Chris Coleman got his first win as Wales manager tonight when Wales beat Scotland 2-1.

 

Former Sky Blue loanee Gary Caldwell was booked in the game which also saw Danny Fox play for a Scottish side which led through a Morrison goal until Gareth Bale levelled with an 81st minute penalty and then hit the winner with a minute remaining.

 

Keiren Westwood played for the Republic Of Ireland in a 6-1 home defeat to Germany.

 

Michael Mifsud missed a penalty in Malta's 3-1 away defeat to the Czech Republic.

 

Aron Gunnarsson was booked in Iceland's 2-1 win in Albania.

Stuart Pearce's England U21's beat Serbia 1-0 at Carrow Road, Former City loanee Jordan Henderson played in the game.
