Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that his career was shaped by two Coventry City heroes.

"When I got back to Swansea, the team was managed by Terry, while and Tommy was still playing," said Coleman in City's match day programme.

"Tommy was awesome. He was over 40 but the standards he set himself were still so high, and he was in remarkable condition for a guy of his age.

"A few of the lads were a bit overpowered by that but I responded to it and he was a really big help to me at that stage of my career.

"Terry was also very demanding and he certainly made me grow up.

"He was a big figure in Wales because of what he had done in his playing career and he got us promotion.
