Joe Cole has said that he is looking forward to his first game for Coventry City away to Rochdale tomorrow night.

Cole said to the Coventry Telegraph: "I don't think I've played at Rochdale before but I just want to be in a dressing room preparing for a match on Tuesday night. Looking forward to a proper game with people wanting to kick me!

"With 21s football it doesn't really prepare you. I just want to get out there and play.

"I am not looking beyond Tuesday night. The first couple of games will shake the cobwebs off and I'm sure my last two games will be stronger than my first two but hope my experience can help the boys here.

"I want to play football regardless to the level, play for the right team and the right way.

"It's going to be tough because I've not played for a while.

"I've not really thought of the ideal scenario. I just look at the next game. Anything can happen in football.

"I have got seven games in the 35 days and we'll review it after that.

"Having a new baby came into it, as did the negotiations. Things aren't always that simple."
